Just finished Black Panther ..Fel convert to Mel Dolby Vision Dolby Atmost Played perfect via SMB No signs of any stutter at all First ful atmos /vision to do that via SMB for me( always had stutter unless usb 3 direct ) Dont change a thing now I can finally start in on all my LOTR /Hobbit movies ,since they will be the true stress test i think
i used the Gamma version of yuescopes (spelling) find on this page https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=18602&start=3360 this will have the working files download , then i ignore his explantations and run this way basiccly all his working files in one work folder Copy the 00045.m2ts to there ( file for black Panther as example) Open the 2 command windows using the tool First window gets python-3.7.6.amd64\python.exe src\app.py -fel_to_mel -mux -exp 00045.m2ts then enter Second window gets src\Gpac\gpac.exe -i pipe://video:ext=hevc:audelim=true -o stdout:ext=tses_pack=none | src\FFmpeg\ffmpeg_win_x64.exe -hide_banner -y -i - -i 00045.m2ts -map 0:0 -map 1:2 -c copy -bsf:v hevc_metadata=aud=insert -metadata title="BlackPanther_________________________________________________________________________" BlackPanther.mkv then enter in second window (i keep those working files in a text file in working folder , and all i change is the 00045.m2ts to new file , in first line and 00045.m2ts , plus the 2 file names ie BlackPanther ,LEAVING all the ____ lines exactly as they are) on completition i then run the new BlackPanther.mkv thru makemkv (latest version) IMPORTANT I dont change anything in the makemkv settings ie leave filename with all the __________ intact The only thing i change is the file location on right side This methods produced working files from FELs everytime so far And now Zidoo softwares not stuttering on them in smb hope that helps
Just did emergency flash and OTA Update via USB. Just watched the first five minutes of Gemini Man without any stutter! Need some more testing but on .90 the movie was unwatchable! Streaming from NAS via SMB (LG C7 and DENON AVR X1400H).
Early impressions are good on the SMB issue. Was able to play a couple of titles last night without any stutter/freezes, drops of any kind.
Today I tested the same ISOs with the Z9S. And all played perfectly well: menus worked, instant 3D triggering, and correct frame rate switching. I hope we can reach AT LEAST THE SAME BASIC FUNCTIONALITY THAT WE ALREADY HAD A LONG TIME AGO.
Currently I have stayed on firmware 6.1.0.3 and I am noticing audio issues again after a break ... I also have another problem with the 25hz files, which switch to 50hz automatically, I have to force the resolution to 25hz manually! Knowing that I am base in 23.976 ........ Am I the only one ?
Sorry, I don't understand the question. The overlap you can see in the picture is fixed with the FW 6.1.05
