I found this box on an online sales site named smarty which is a clone OF X9S. firmware version is 1.4.2 the ethernet connector does not work : the connector LEDs do not light up when I plug in a cable and it is indicated : not connected when i connect the wifi i've got a error message : modele : zidoo_x9s net mac: xx:xx:xx:xx UUID : Authentification failure uuid state : illegal authorized (3) when I update the box with a recent ota firmware (2.1.30 or 2.1.40) the box no longer starts , it is noted hello on the led screen and the tv screen stays black. I have to do the procédure x9s unbrick to rescue my box and the box return to 1.4.2 version with the same problems.
These boxes were around a couple of years ago have to be authorised by Zidoo using the MAC address - whether they still do this though I don't know.
the zidoo support tell me that he does not know the mac address ??? but it is indicated twice at the back of the box and inside
Why you are do it, saler on eBay said: don't update. I bought clone because only this saler sent delivery in Russia but why you bought it if you can buy real white zidoo.
Excellent question , but answer is also very simple : the sender tell me that the box was a zidoo x9s so you can say that I got screwed when I started the box I noticed that the network card was not working so i wanted to update the firmware to try to solve this problem. finally i succeeded to update sytem to 2.1.1 but when i configure the wifi i have the message UUID : Authentification failure uuid with the ethernet card mac adress.
did you solve the problem ? I am having the same problem and Zidoo team sent me this email Hello. Sir We have confirmed that your X9S should not in Zidoo list. This device should be in *** name. Zidoo produced it, but it something different from Zidoo X9S. Zidoo cannot activation for it, it has own firmware. You have to contact with *** seller.
