@mirror Hello! Can you finally tell me, the reason, why does Zidoo show information about Dolby Vision "4k" file - (1080p 8bit HDR) and on the other hand the information on the TV says - (Dolby Vision 1080p bt2020) The TV is LG55uh8500. And is it possible to fix this in the future.
This TV model have no 2160p dolby vision support with HDMI IN. Only 1080p 8bit RBG Dolby vision standard mode.
I was under the impression that the 2016 LG models do support Dolby Vision in 2160p on their HDMI inputs, just only at up to 30Hz, and only the TV-led variant, no LLDV support.
i have a sony bluray x700 and i watch 4k 2160p Blu-ray Dolby vision.... so it supports HDMI inputs 2160p dolby vision!
PM the current version number and MAC address for me, Will push a test firmware to you, After the upgrade, please turn on Dolby vision compatibility mode(Settings -- display setiings -- Dolby vision compatibility mode)
It's good for me except that I'm in 2160p RGB 8bit instead of 2160p YUV444 12bits. Great job for this firmware.
In Standard DV, 8-bits is normal - it's using a technique called HDMI tunneling to maintain compatibility with HDMI 1.4 by encapsulating the 12-bit Dolby signal over an 8-bit RGB stream - clever Dolby stuff..
Hello , did you finally solve the problem with DV ? Because i have same problem with my LG 8507 . Tv display 1080p 60hz 8 bit
