UTF-8 with BOM I have this encoding because only in this encoding Plex correctly displays Polish characters Ą ą Ć ć Ę ę Ł ł Ń ń Ó ó Ś ś Ź ź Ż ż

The whole movie session does it .. it's fine for a moment and it flashes in a moment ..
I only have it on the Z9X ....
On other players it is ok

The problem is like a subtitle line, it shows as a blink before and then a millisecond after it shows normally.

this problem always happens in all external subtitles.

 

Press left on the remote when the hard drive is selected and you will see the safe removal menu

Its not something wrong with your coding its a bug from the first firmware, its a shame my old dune solo 4K works better in full blu-ray menus and external subtitles, etc, etc.

I found Z9s / Z9X are good at bluray menu even those with trailers at beginning , multi completed ending or multiple m2ts structure.
eg.2KBD Alien, 2K US BD War with grandpa, 4KUHD The Martin and they all work with ext sub in SRT or ASS format single or dual language (eg.en&cht).
THE ONLY ONE EXCEPT right now is 4K UHD Antebellum issue from Lion Gate, this disc menu also can not be opened by oppo or giec and only zidoo let you have an option to select 00292.mpls to watch the movie .

 

There are many subtitle files and not all of them are good, some srt are just direct transform from ass.
War with grandpa GER BD is 24hz and War with grandpa US BD is 23.976hz and need to process a frame rate change if required.
Just my 2 cents, if u found annoying , just ignore me.

 

Thanks for your tips, Its no problem frame rate of sub, no
desynchronization of the sub, the sub work ok, some lines blink first and next show the line.
the same subs work ok in shield TV 2017 with kodi and Dune HD solo 4k, all external srt have the same blink on some lines or some moment. I try convert the .srt to other formats, same bug.
