Windows 10 pro cant see X20 on network

    Hello , im needing help , i just upgrade to windows 10 pro from windows 7 .
    On win 7 everything was fine , i could see x20 on network,copy files,delete them via network, now i cant see zidoo. I now that on Win 10 some function been removed or switch off for sharing files, network sharing, but i manage to switch on some of them i can see other computers on network but not zidoo.
    i switch on those function to see other pc
    DNS Client
    Function Discovery Provider Host
    Function Discovery Resource Publication
    Peer Networking Grouping
    HomeGroup Provider
    HomeGroup Listener
    SSDP Discovery
    UPnP Device Host

    Can anyone help me what to do to fix that.

    there are lots of reasons why it might have stopped...and isn't visible under network locations in windows.

    i don't know your knowledge of networking so apologies if this is explained too basic

    the best way to access your zidoo drives and the most straightforward method is :
    do u know the ip adress of your zidoo in your network ?
    -if no : on the zidoo go under settings-> network and see which ip your zidoo has ...it looks like XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX for instance 192.168.001.235

    now open windows(!) explorer and enter \\your-ip
    in this example you would enter \\162.168.001.235
    -> you should now see your zidoo drives and shares.

    for quick access you can then map that


    If it isn't working then you can investigate further but this works most of the time

    I run Win 10 on my PC and have no issues to access my X20 on my home network. Try this:

    1. Run a IP scan to find out the ip number of your Zidoo player
    2. Open a Win explorer window and type in the ip address. For example \\192.168.0.25 and you should now see your drive(s) in Windows.

    Let us know if this works.
