Home cinema, local playback, high-resolution audio and Home Assistant enthusiast based in the UK.

My main system is built around a TCL 65Q7C-UK QD-Mini LED TV, Zidoo Z9X 8K, Samsung HW-Q930F soundbar, Fosi Audio ZD3 DAC and dual Fosi ZA3 monoblocks powered by GaN 48V supplies, driving PSB Imagine T54 speakers and PSB Alpha S10 subwoofers.

I have a large local media library and I am especially interested in high-resolution audio, surround music releases, DSD64/DSD128/DSD256/DSD512 playback and custom archival stereo reconstructions from Blu-ray, Dolby TrueHD/Atmos and multichannel sources. I often analyse DR, RMS, peak structure, channel balance and phase behaviour before deciding on downmix and conversion settings.

I also work heavily with Home Assistant, LocalTuya, Zigbee/Thread/Matter devices, WLED, HyperHDR, HDMI/EDID troubleshooting, ADB-based Android TV control and custom automations. I have documented working solutions including a full LocalTuya DP mapping , and instant TCL Google TV HDMI input switching via direct ADB intents in Home Assistant.

Current interests include Zidoo playback quality, HDR10/Dolby Vision handling, audio passthrough, eARC, MS2130 capture, gofanco HDR splitters, HyperHDR/WLED ambient lighting and reliable real-world AV integration.

My goal is simple: clean local playback, stable smart-home automation and AV systems that work reliably in daily family use, not just on paper.
