[QUOTE = "Emphyrio, post: 89433, membro: 30036"] Nulla cambia con questo, schermo sempre nero 10 bit 4: 4: 4 23Htz Yamaha rx-v485 -> epson 9400 [/ QUOTE] Anche io ho lo stesso problema con il mio Yamaha RX A3080 e videoproiettore Sony VPL HW20.
Both players outputted 25 FPS but the Zidoo showed flashing green screen and Dune was fine. So I just tried a 25fps 2K MKV file on the Z9S which seems to have the same properties as yours (see below). Typically it played perfectly - no green screens, no dropout. As expected, the Vertex reported 25fps Out of curiosity I tried the same file on the Dune and interestingly the Vertex reports 50fps rather than 25. Both boxes are set to auto resolution and auto frame rate. OK further testing with this problematic 25 FPS MKV Zidoo frame rate and resolution switched on - green screen TV output- 1920x1080p 25p frame rate only - NO green screen TV output - 3840x2160 / 25p frame rate and res both off - NO green screen TV output - 3840x2160 / 60p Dune HD Pro 4K (No green screen issue) Auto Resolution disabled Output reported by Dune: 4K 2160p 25Hz [10bit 4:4:4 BT.709] Auto Resolution enabled Output reported by Dune: 1080p 50Hz [10bit 4:4:4 BT.709] If you are interested in testing the file yourself I've uploaded to Mega (2.2GB) https://mega.nz/#!gcswBCiJ!p78qq-eoGD2XURiuP0d79cnyYOUgwwSE9jBPSGBz_9Y
With this version I've seen the following issues: HDMI in stops working and on the screen it reports the app has failed HDMI Recording sound becomes garbled seems to be intermittent and occurs after 1.5 hour recordings HDMI Recording function doesn't respond when pressed - HDMI IN is still working but also noticed PiP didn't work either when this occurred HT2 stops working and on the screen it reports the app has failed Usually a reboot fixes the issues above but started to notice it can take up to 3 reboots to get things cleared up also started to see the Audio app stating it has stopped while doing the reboots which again is resolved by yet another reboot. Started to try power off & on to see if it gets better results.
Right - this is to do with how the file has been muxed. If I play the file as downloaded, it does exactly as you say - flashing green screen with audio. I then quickly remuxed with MKVToolnix and it plays perfectly. So ok, the Dune plays the file - but that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the way the Zidoo works, it just means that the Dune is more tolerant of poorly muxed sources - something we've seen many times before.
Interesting becaus ethats exactly what I di That's strange because I did that in case it was the file. The remuxed file was exactly the same and exhibited the same issues. Is there a specific setting I need to set in MKVToolnix?
I removed the subtitles and added chapters (at 600s intervals) out of habit, but apart from that, there are no settings to change. The version of MKVToolNix I have is v33.1.0 "Primrose"...
Guys, look at the update footnote of the quoted post below by sojer2005 on 29th April. He already said removing subtitles solved the 25hz green screen problem.
Whats also interesting is that I did two remuxes using MKVToolNix. What I found is that you don't need to remove the subs to fix the file. All you need to do is change at least one property in the remux. For example I changed the video forced track flag from 'no' to 'yes' and that worked. On another remux I changed the subtitle compression from 'Determine Automatically' to 'No extra compression'. Again that worked.
The only thing I can think is happening there is that the problem is in the header - if you remux without changing anything, there's no reason for MKVToolnix to rewrite the header. I wonder if this issue is restricted to, or more prevalent in, Web-DL files - Seem to remember there was something similar a few months ago with Web-DL files from certain sources... So if you don't want to add or delete any streams on a remux, the easy fix is to switch the forced flag on the video? Shouldn't affect anything else.
Correction, it's must worst that .56. HDR no image (constant drop) and non HDR you can see 5s picture every 30s with .56 and before was HDR drop every 5s and non HDR every 30s so i'm stuck on 4k60fps at 4:2:0
I haven't seen issues like this with any firmware revision. The only time I've seen any image drop at all has been file related - see the last few posts between @blenky & myself above. First thing I would look at are the files, then the AVR settings, then PJ settings, then HDMI cables and start eliminating - remove the AVR, try it on another monitor etc...
i have tested premium HDMI 2.0 then 2.1 then HDMI optical My AVR setting are in mode 1 for high bandwidth and no problem with higher bandwidth than 4k 4:4:4 24p So my PJ the same Direct connection Z9s to PJ show same problem i have tested several 4k mkv but i'n not sure i have remux them with Mkvtoolnix for those test (what i do usualy to add subtitle) So i guess there is only 2 test to do test on another monitor but i don't have another 4k device remux some of my 4k to test it other user had their image drop corrected by .56 and it was not related to the files, it was related to some brand and models if i remember
Hi @mirror I have been testing the latest beta version 2.2.65 from 4pda.ru forum and the problem playing 25fps files with subtitles is still unresolved. @mirror Are you aware of this bug?
