    Hi DaMacFunkin!

Unfortunately, there's no way to send you a message, so I'll just ask my question here.

I just saw your reply to the topic I started several months ago.
    forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?threads/no-bd-menus-crazy-wi-fi-after-reset-to-default-settings.44441/

I didn't check the topic because I lost hope that I'll ever have BD menus back because even Zidoo support didn't help me.

Answering your question: yes, I had my HDD plugged into the USB3 when I clicked on Restore Factory, but I do remember I turned it off (my HDD has a button) before clicking.

Now I understand that turning off wasn't enough.

Please tell me what I should do to solve this problem? You're my last hope.

i dont know why Z9S can act like that
but i have 2TB attached to my X9S with sata and to my USB3.0 port using 2bay hdd docking (1,5TB+2TB)
i never unplugged or shut down the docking when i do a factory reset and it fine after that
all i know is factory reset only take effect for internal storage not a external storage

Hi everyone, do you know if the problem of forced subtitles will be fixed in the next firmware?

    i'll try it later
as far as i know it seem fine
usually i download a .sub/.idx subtitle in my PC then remux it
    what is "forced subtitles" ?

When in a movie, they speak a language other than the default, the subtitles appear in the default language. To make you understand what they are talking about. Now in x9s it's not possible.
At the beginning of the film you must remember to activate them, thus losing seconds of vision.

You get forced subtitles automatically when you play the movie from BD Menu. Apparently some players do that with regular moves. With Zidoo when you play movie not through BD Menu and see a part with feraign language that you don’t understand you need to pause quickly, check for available subtitles and/or download and activate if missing. You can also rewind 5s quickly with left arrow button to see what they were saying ;)

I have no movie with menus, all mkv. Other players automatically select forced subtitles, I don't understand why x9s can't do it.

Curious which other players automatically select or read the forced subtitles flag with MKV files? I thought that was typically only with BDMV files or maybe ISOs....

First I had h96 + and with kodi, forced subtitles were set. Then there were other major problems, which it is better not to list. But force subtitles worked.

wow i dont know that X9S have that very intelligent feature
for what i know, that the subtitle we downloaded sometimes already have forced subtitle included if its what you mean that translate the other language other than the default language
just like @3DBuff and @Deano86 said, natively it was support only for dvd or bluray untouched contents
so it mean that is provide from its contents itself
but i dont know what experience do you have with H96 and kodi that can provide or produce that forced subtitle

Again, I had h96 + and forced subtitles, it was enough to activate them in kodi once and for all, and they worked with mkv files. As happens in the PC, for example with mpc-hc.
