Yes I said 2.1.14 was worst. Still worst. Good pictures belong to v1.4.12 (last to pictures)

Why nobody dont believe me. How can we solve problems.
Everybody can try. You can see yourself.
(Dont forget set hdmi range for good result.)
I said before, I am using 1080p tv and projector. I couldnt check on 4k tv.
I ordered new one z9s. I am waiting delivery. I will do a comparison.
    Thank you

I don't know...you pictures from 1.4.12 look too black. Maybe it's just the pictures that makes it difficult to compare but maybe it's just the wrong HDMI range setting? If you choose the wrong one, you get black crush on every device. If I remember correctly, limited range is correct (full for PC) and the setting from the Zidoo must match the setting from your TV. If both are different the picture looks bad.

sorry its me misread your post :(
i think 2.1.12 is still the good result with full range mode
but strange i cannot re flash with it again, even i use a brand new box to do that
want to download the firmware again but the source already deleted :(
with 2.1.14 when using full range, you got to dark so better set it to limited range
i want try to downgrade to 1.4.12 but since read what @Gedeon info
i doubt to do it :(

Although it could be very tempting, I certainly wouldn't try any downgrade from this version. Too risky. Much better wait Zidoo to release a new versión.

Looks like new player Z9S is ahead with one firmware release.
I hope Zidoo is working on stutter fixes for this X9S.

yeah i know, before this firmware sometimes i downgrade my box, just curious which firmware is better for me
but now after you mentioned it, have no gut to do it :(
i had tried X20pro that using rtd1296 and have the same problem about stuttering, what make Z9S dont suffered it too?

Don't see it as a matter of guts, just common sense due to latest experiences.
These latest weeks they've been focused in Z series, but X series gave them a lot of customers. They'll probably will be back on them sooner than later.

What stutter did you see? The strong 1s stutter from Web-Dl files or the Micro Stutter from HD / 4K?

yes especially X9S is a best seller for them, hope they dont forget about it
i'd tried the First Purge web dl FGT release and have the same stutter :(
and for micro stutter i dont notice it even with my X9S coz when watching movie i try to focus on the movie not with the micro stutter that maybe appear :(

It looks like the new Z9X with RTD 1296 chipset and latest firmware v1.9.7 is free from any stutter issue. Waiting for more reports.

Quite possible that Web-Dl stutter was introduced in the last 3 firmware releases on X9S and on initial release of Z9S including the one you tested X20Pro. Hopefully they will correct this with new firmware for all devices.

Just to confirm still Micro stutter is still being observed every X amount of minutes on latest firmware on 1080p Dts HD Master 7.1 mkv material .

Cant help but notice it . :(

Are you referring to X9S from this thread header or the new generation Z9S?
X9S has micro stutter with current firmware on all film material 23.976fps HD and 4K. Only 3D MVC is free from stutter.
New Z9S with latest firmware looks promising.

Yes but using the X10 was pointless opening up another thread as they are essntially the same as such .
Yes the Z series looking good so far .

Just need our boxes tweaked to sort this micro nano stutter thats appeared .

And i spot it all the time which spoils the Movie . :(
I could live with slight banding etc but stutter no no .

I claimed warrenty for the stuttering at my reseller. (2 years)
They accepted and will change it for a z9s as soon they have it on stock.
I listened between the lines they knew about hardware faults with 1295 chips.
    If you can claim warrenty.

All my 4k movies are far more grainy than the fullhd? Is that normal?

Older movies re scanned into 4K will do that. Try newer movies in full size 50 to 80 GB. A lot of Netflix movies are grainy as well.
