kodi devs are actively having facebook groups shut down that use the term kodi in them whether they be for third party addons or not.

If you replaced the version of kodi in the system--pre install folder using root with the 15.2 version from 1.27 download and extract the kodi apk from 1.32 remove the 15.2 and replace with the original you have just extracted or the ota will fail if it finds a different kodi version in system--preinstall.

And if, like me, you do the OTA upgrade, you obtain Zidoo ZDMC , derived from Kodi 16 final.
    Don't you try it?

Update appears itself after power on (if you are connected to internet).

    ZDMC will remain open source?
Why not join to SPMC that allready contains the ZIDDO patch?
Are ZDMC and SPMC duplicating efforts?

My was rooted before, and still rooted after.
    Strange, but true.
I don't know why... but "so far so good"

I got your version running great but I cant back up all of my enabled add ons on the back up micro sd card add on so I can reload another box without spending hours enabling add ons and zip files etc. Is there away to do this ? Any suggestions can I back this whole box up like I used to back up my Pivo boxes with no problems. Then I could program a new box in minutes instead off hours. Thanks much this will help a lt.

I hope so, because official 'default version' should always be NON-ROOTED :).

well, it's all about consistency I guess. I've been used to have the choice - rooted or non rooted version. I am using some sambadroid app which needs root, that's it.. but I managed to root 1.0.32, probably will do with .33 as well.
    sharp observation, though. o_O

funny - my "sambadroid"-app does NOT need ROOT ;)
why should this app need ROOT?

@grummel2005 - I guess this is because I use an external hdd.

Specifically for RK, the worst part was that I wanted to implement the same level of support as for AML.
They just denied me the sources of their player to allow me to do so, so they actually don't want Kodi to properly support their SoC (or they're just plain stupid, or their player infringe on OS licence. +rkffplayer+ is highly suspicious name for a closed source player).

All RK stuff immediately went to the "junk" closet, and I suggest all Kodi users to do the same...

You have my full support for that :)

    +1

So let's send users to them in the future. Bye Bye RK.
