this video is made just for you :D

my tv is LG 55UH650T and with AVR Denon 1905

  2. Thank you very much for the effort but mine is not working even if I turn on the Downmix, I'm only getting stereo output via SPDIF if Downmix is turned ON. But I have tested same thing with Kodi in Zidoo X9S and it works well for both DTS HD and TrueHD Downmix.

    Audio Downmix.

I did few tests on it couple months ago but it needed refresh with new firmware to be correct.

    Here are my findings.
    Zidoo setup:
    Quick settings > Audio:
    HDMI - Close
    SPDIF - RAW
    Downmix HD Audio - ON

I had to move few things around to test this setup. My reference files are from Kodi Wiki website demo files with various audio test samples. My amp is old Onkyo with SPDIF and digital coax.

    - DTS-HD MA 7.1 is correctly downmixed to DTS 5.1 over SPDIF fiber cable.
    - Dolby Digital+ 7.1 appears correct as DD 5.1
    - Dolby Atmos TruHD 7.1 is payed as stereo PCM unless it has a Companion Track build in as DD 5.1

The best files are the ones with channel check. Interesting point is that subwoofer channel is not mixed into stereo output. This is a warning for headphones. There is no Sub channel sounds at all in headphone or any other stereo mix.

I hope this helps to set the baseline.

My old amp is on 3D HD projector with Raspberry Pi. The Pi can do multi-channel PCM and it works perfect with old Onkyo high current 7.1 amp from before HDMI was invented :) I get correct 7.1 from all sample files.

You don't know what you're talking about, first you ask "I have tried using SPDIF from Zidoo to AVR and I'm receiving stereo output for TRUEHD but DTS working fine."
    and then you're talking about
i shouldn't have answered you in the first place

  8. Yes you should have not answered to my post because you are not following my post and you are replying halfway and i was replying to my topic followers. i think you got into the wrong bus.

  9. Well said @3DBuff ,this forum is made for product upgrading purpose and @Ekul yes we will keep on demand until we get what we want. This is the relationship between the Developer and the consumer.

  13. Well like he said, I was little upset. Anyway I'm really very sorry for my behaviour. Sometimes I just can't control myself. I really understand that we are all here to help each other to solve problems.

  14. Noted Bro, maybe I'll give a try with my Logitech Z906. Still planning to get the Denon AVR-X6400h or the X8500H.

Ok lets forget all this , I hope you find solution to your questions because honestly zidoo is an honest machine for its money.

I have mine attached on a Logitech Z-5500 through spdif with "Downmix HD Audio output" enabled and spdif audio to 'raw' and have DTS and DD working fine on 5.1

I was thinking of doing this with my old computer surround system from Logitech Z-5500. However I got disappointed with the muffled sound. Lack of treble adjustment and single coil speaker make the sound dull. I ended up with 30 year old stereo JVC receiver, small JBL cube double coil speakers and 10" powered sub. Sure there is no surround but the sound is crystal clear with deep base when needed. Don't really have room for surround speakers where the TV is.

Please please Zidoo , fix the playback of rmvb files. It is in your supported format and was working before. But the last few FW, it becomes unsupported format error.
