@ Mark, to have known this before I would not have installed 6.4.28 ( see Recommended Settings and other useful stuff for RTD1619 Players)

Hi Zapo, I have the same issue with ZDMC after I updated to 6.4.28.
Did you de- and re-install ZDMC and it is working now?
    Thanks

I have the same issue with ZDMC where when I try to play a file nothing happens. I’ve had it for a while and absolutely nothing has resolved it, including uninstalling/reinstalling, I suspect I’m going to have to factory reset which I really don’t want to do.

And Bob there are a lot of us over here who are long-term AVSForum (DaveFi) members.

If you have a solution thank you.

The main benefit in using LLDV is in allowing DV content to be played natively on the projector with full RPU usage.

As a side benefit, converting HDR10 to LLDV produces a more pleasing image at the same time using the HDR10 metadata in the conversion.

As far as I know, HDR10+ metadata is not used in this process, only the static HDR10 data.

And one of the main benefits in outputting everything in LLDV is that you dramatically reduce resyncs if you set the frame rate to 23.976 and allow the Zidoo to upscale - then the only time you every see a resync is if the frame rate changes which is of course necessary.

This is a Dolby Vision test file that shows the effect of various trims used in the RPU:

    https://mega.nz/file/8HZxjA4S#QEJFUo4Dz6ChD0KEtZH2F9Jl4NFnXBXIYbcVrwEpl20

And this shows something similar for HDR10+

    https://mega.nz/file/4LZ0UZoI#-Gbk7jef5cUD8dN4p90jEhu-YPHfQKTlqxqcJRJO4Ac

HDR10 does not of course contain such dynamic metadata.

Since the upgrade one of my Apps Drei TV couldnot stream anymore which is most strange, but that's why I issued a rollback to 6.4.20_G, I will investigate with the producer of the app also (I work for that company ;-))

    best regards,

    Armin

    I installed v6.4.28 on Zidoo Z9X.

The volume on-off button of the remote control does not work while watching movies in Home Theatre.

Previous software did not have such a problem.

The volume on/off button on the remote control works for me.
Works in HT4 and in any other applications, such as YouTube and online cinemas, third-party players, KODI.

How long ago were the batteries in the remote changed?

The batteries are solid, because I can turn the volume on and off from the remote during the Home Theater trailer display.

You can download and view the video from the link below...

Because of the way it is encoded, it's not possible to adjust the volume for compressed, multi-channel encoded audio bitstreams such as Dolby Digital, DTS, TrueHD etc.

Only internally decoded audio such as PCM can be adjusted.

    Hi Mark ,

I just noticed this a while ago.

In the movie where I can adjust the volume in the trailer, I can turn the volume down while playing.

The format of the series and the movie is as follows:

    TV Series : Somebody Somewhere
Audio : English Dolby Digital 5.1 Channel 48.0Khz
(I can't turn the volume down with the remote)

    Movie : The Alpinist
    Audio : English DTS 5.1 Channel 48.0Khz
(I can turn the volume up and down with the remote)

    Is this normal ?

The trailer audio track has no bearing on how the movie audio track is handled.

It's impossible to adjust the volume of a DTS stream.

If you can adjust the volume on the Zidoo while playing a DTS track, it's not outputting DTS!

Thank you! It worked perfectly. But I have this issue from the start (fw 6.4.06). When I'm watching HDR10... mostly HDR10+, the source says no signal. Sometimes just black screen and the audio is still playing. I'm watching using ZMDC today and the file indicated it as HDR10+ but my Z9X read it as Dolby Vision. All good but when I press stop...No Signal again for a long time.

    Bug report 6.4.28_G:
    > Playback of a mkv movie in HT
    > Double click return key of my RC (Zidoo V10 mini - BT)
    > Black screen... need to restart Z9X to recover
The issue can't be reproduced in same movie but in others.
