    If it not a connection issue to display
    Looks like you may have a faulty unit .

    power off unit unplug from mains check internal connections etc ……
    Or rma back ?

    no display on power up even ? ( not got display to off in settings )

    Nope, no display on power up. It’s a brand new unit and it behaved just fine for 2 days. And today the display went blank for some reason.

    Will unplug it from the mains and see where it takes me. Everything else is working fine.

    You need to return this unit then.
    HW faults appearing during the first days, week, month unfortunately are fairly common.

    After a month the chance becomes very low, unless it heats too much.

    Bad quality control or cheap parts. And they ask 400€ for it.

    I remember I paid 600€ for the Oppo UDP-203. I shouldn’t have sold it, bad decision.

    I stopped using my oppo 93 years ago …….
    Tech moves on and well the likes of Zidoo , Dune etc have surpassed the oppo in a lot of ways .

    get yours rma and all will be good .

    would you really go backwards ?

    There is no official Zidoo seller in my country, so I had to buy it from another country. The return would be a real hassle. I would reather fix it locally instead of sending it back and paying for international shipping.

    It could be a bad connector. The front panel runs via a cable.

    Not good :(

    well in your case if you deff cant return it ?
    open up box and check ribbon connections on motherboard to Display but there often glued for shipment / disturbance issues etc
    Failing that it be faulty motherboard or Display .

    But exhaust all avenues first .

    Yes, there is a high probability that the ribbon cable connected to the display and the motherboard has become disconnected. It is necessary to check the connections, the fasteners themselves, and wipe the contacts of the loop itself with alcohol. If this is not the problem, then you need to remove the display and take it to any workshop to replace the LEDs in the display. As a rule, this is not an expensive repair, the diodes themselves are standard and cost a minimum of money. But first you need to check the contacts themselves, most likely the problem is in them.

    Forgot to ask - did you reset to factory settings? Perhaps the problem with the display is due to the incorrect operation of the firmware. Try to reset.

    Looking to buy a Zidoo and found a seller on AliExpress and it says Zidoo official store, the prices are really good, does anyone know if it's legit? I've never ordered anything form Aliexpress before.

    Stuck with the Zidoo logo during the reset process. Am I doing something wrong? What is the right procedure for a factory reset of the Z1000 Pro? Thanks

    I have found sellers on AliExpress to be ok. Just be careful with the Carrier - FedEx are the worst of the worst IMHO - their "Operational Delays" are frequent and their tracking borders on being fraudulent
