I've had the Zidoo x9 for about 3 months and today the box just wont turn on anymore, i dont get any display on the front LED or any output signal to the TV, all i get is the led light on the rj45/ethernet socket.

since nothing was working, I tried to manually flash a firmware ZIDOO_X9_v1.0.3.3_ota.zip and MstarUpgrade.bin (separately) in the root of the usb disk in fat32, by turning the box on with the reset button pressed and i still get nothing.

Is my box dead? is there a way i can restore it?

I bought the box from geekbuying, who do i go to for warranty zidoo or geekbuying?

I got the same problem a few days after installing the X9.
The problem disappeared after removing the additional micro SD card.
Try to reboot again (using the power switch at the rear of the box), after having removed any card and USB stick

there was nothing connected to it when I booted up the box, no usb drive or sd card.

Try to set the power button to off, remove power cord, , wait a while, plug it, then switch on. I dont think that the problem is linked to the firmware.

    I done that many times,
its the first thing I tried before i even came here for help.
the box was fine yesterday, I used the remote to turn the box off and today it just wont turn on.
I tried unplugging it, switching it on/off from switch.
I think its hardware related as i did not update/flash the box before this happened.
If it is firmware related I should be able to get into recovery mode,
right now I cant even get into recovery mode.

Please tell me the X9 in front of the screen whether there is work, if work, what is the content of the show

    To warren_wh:
I cannot answer on behalf of Dope101, but I understood that no sign of "life" appears when power switch is on, except the led of the RJ45 connection at the rear of the box.

To Dope101: in addition to what I suggested, did you press on the power button of the remote ? (I don't exactly remember how I escaped from this problem).

Going by the silence, or lack of reply, I'm assuming its dead.

So whats the warranty procedure? Geekbuying or direct to Zidoo?

    Hi,
Could you give us your e-mail address? We will inform the after-sales of Geekbuying to contact you.
    Thank you.

Sorry for the silence, I was fighting against my Popcorn A410 which was also like dead (no light, no answer to remote,...). After opening the box without result, checking the power block with a voltmeter (12 volts OK), I tried again to boot and the box started ... The breakdown cause was an insufficient plugging of the power cord !
If you have a voltmeter, verify the power unit.
