Trying to install version G firmware...

Hello. I recently upgraded from X9S to Z9X.
I noticed there is no Google play and “add account option.”
There are a couple of apps I would like install.
Then I may return to the usual firmware.

I saw this page about downloading the G version of the firmware to solve the problem:
    https://www.zidoo.tv/Support/support_guide/guide_target/zG4r9MlHtzjeq7k9e[ld]3ulg==.html

Trying to install this firmware produces this error message, “Verifying failed, the upgrade package is lower than the current version”.
The problem is the device sees this G version firmware as an older version than the one already installed and refuses to install the version with G suffix.

Is there a way around to solve this problem?
Isn’t Zidoo aware of this problem? From back experience I know that Zidoo media players refuse to backstep its firmware.

What kind of software version do you have now? What are you trying to install?

Adding/removing optional access to the Google Play Store

The GAPP"s APK is not applicable anymore and won't work with Android 9. Instead now a FW with "_G" at the end needs to be installed manually via USB (like FW 6.3.2_G). No need to do so if you don't want/require access.
You first have to "Google Play Protect" certify your player and next need to activate the Google Play Store:

    1. Open Play Store, then close it - this generates the GSF ID
    2. Goto Zidoo Quick Settings/Other/About and take a note of the GSF ID
    3. In any web browser on any platform, goto www.google.com/android/uncertified, log in and enter GSF ID and hit <Register>
    4. Restart Z9X as a now Google Play Protect certified device
    5. Start Google Play Store again and register/activate your Google account

You are now ready to use the Google Play Store. No other Google services are installed with this procedure. To keep your registration you need to install the _G version updates always.
No there are no negative side effects beyond being registeren and installed APP's tracking by Google.

If you are getting nightmares of Big Brother Google watching you don't (as he will do that anyway). :D
To remove on second thought one can always just install an update without _G and it will be all gone. You can't downgrade Zidoo FW versions but re-installing the same FW version with or without _G is allowed.

    Thank you for the answers.
    I have downloaded:
    Firmware: v6.0.46_G

I copied it onto USB memory (in zip form).
I choose manual update. And I get error.
    My firmware is v6.3.2

The software 6.3.2 is the latest. You need to download version 6.3.2G.

I think there is no 6.3.2G version.
    The latest is v6.0.46_G

The whole thing is very illogical...
Zidoo should allow firmware backstepping, or produce simultaneously normal and G versions.

There is version 6.3.2G, I have it installed like probably many other users.
It can be installed via OTA by selecting in the player settings to download the latest beta.
A colleague above has already given you the download link directly.

Cool, a friend of Nice Monkey wrote above how to activate the Google store. Good luck!

They don't like doing the first but the second is always done by Zidoo. :)

But Zidoo doesn't document their work.
At their web page, downloads section for Z9X there is only v6.0.90 firmware. They don't update and the end result is a puzzle.

They publish only final versions on their website. For beta's you need to look here.

Just upgrade from Zidoo Z9X to Zidoo Z10 Pro, and just update to 6.3.2G version from 6.3.2

Why should I do it? I have installed v6.3.2G to Z9X and it is OK.
Zidoo Z10 Pro is just a larger chassis version of Z9X
I wouldn't pay %50 more to get internal hdd option or slightly more internal storage.
I don't have a single disk. I have disk arrays.
It doesn't offer %50 more. Just hollow space inside. It's not a cost effective product.

Maybe you should upgrade to the new Neo X. :)

It's good that we have a choice and everyone buys what suits them. I bought the Z10 pro and I am satisfied.
