Today trailers not working. In on beta 6.3.2 and they have been working befors. Does anybody have an idea Why its not Working?
Yes, in fact another APK which used to give me access to content from different streaming web sites has stopped working too but works on my android phone seamlessly.
I have the some problem when I install the last update and when I put trailer saying failed to play I hope with new update they solve the problem.
I think youtube changed their API. All requests from HT4 gives 404 (not found) eg: Code: https://www.youtube.com/get_video_info?video_id=Ef4A5iE9hmA is not found but Code: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ef4A5iE9hmA plays in web browser.
Always a danger when relying on online resources - some providers change their APIs with the weather. Similarly TMDB are constantly changing the URLs of images which makes old backups obsolete. I only use local resources now (artwork, NFOs and trailers) so I know if I rescrape it all comes back as before.
If youtube has changed their API, can't we access the same by manually putting that address in Z9x? If yes, what would be the work around?
The best workaround is to use local trailers then it'll never happen again and you get much better quality trailers than those on YouTube. Or just wait for Zidoo to update...
How can we use local trailers method? Does it mean, everytime one needs to watch a specific trailer he'll have to go to youtube/source manually to watch it? Won't that be a tedious thing to do? All BD discs do not have trailers embedded in them. Kindly suggest what better source than youtube and how do we go about it in a simple way? Thanks.
Dead easy. I use https://www.traileraddict.com/ and https://www.youtube.com/c/TrailersPlaygroundHD/videos and occasionally IMDB or Rotten Tomatoes to download trailers to download mp4 trailers. (use the "Save Video As" plugin in Chrome https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/save-video-as/fhmhocodenpjbbmndbladmhbhpcogejc) Then it's just a case of copying that to the movie directory and naming it like movieName.trailer.mp4 For example Return of the Jedi.trailer.mp4 I took a couple of days to download trailers for my library (about 400 movies) and once that's done it's easy ongoing because you just need to add the trailer each time you add a movie. Then turn on "Local Trailers Only" which is something I requested last firmware and you're good to go.

It’s not just HT that has this problem. This is typical for other front ends as well. As you suggested, using local resources once scraped is the best way around it. It’s labor intensive if you have a big collection, but once it’s done, it’s easy to maintain.
. Then turn on "Local Trailers Only" which is something I requested last firmware and you're good to go.[/QUOTE] where you can only play local trailers? Ican‘t found it!
