    There is some risk for flashing your ZIDOO_X9S BOX, please be quite careful to make it.(It will clean out user data entirely, if you are not professional,please be cautious to do it.)

    BTW: Do not try to flash the device,unless your device can't start.
    If you want a clean system,you can try to Restore factory settings

    The following Flashing Process is about ZIDOO X9S, attaching ZIDOO X9S TV BOX:

    First, do some preparation:

    ① A ZIDOO X9 TV BOX, one HDMI cable, A TV set (You kept surely, do not say any more);

    ② a quite fine needle, you can use other finer tools instead of it, such as toothpick, etc. ( In order to hold down the Reset button );

    ③U disk, ensuring that it is as below the format of FAT32;

    ④A Needle, which can access to reset button

    [IMG]

    At the beginning, y
    you need to download the ROM(http://www.mediafire.com/file/fye1lykeqm9hadd/install-ZIDOO_X9S-v1.4.12-201708181828-USB.img) and rename to "install.img";
    then copied to the Root Directory of the Udisk you’re ready, not other files.

    Then, insert U disk into one of USB2.0 port, as shown below red line mark.

    Flash your box now: First,press the reset button then turn on the power by the same time,

    [IMG]

    while you have connect to TV, the TV will show the schedule,

    proved that you are flashing now,(If not shown or have a green screen, is a normal phenomenon, don't power off either,just wait for 10 minute until the vfd shows "hello")

    [IMG]

    this flash process about two minutes ) , after finishing flashing will showed you install completed,

    [IMG]

    then it will enter the system automatically(It will be a little longer for the first

    time, about 2 minutes),

    The procedure described here is the emergency method (PIN-procedure) when the system has become unstable. It will factory reset all data and settings.

    For a normal upgrade follow the standard menu upgrade described with FW 1.2.4 today.

    Most if not all Android based media players offer both methods to be used as preferred/needed.

    You may simply move the entire archive as-is straight to the usb drive.

    I do recommend doing an extra MD5 checksum test just to validate the archive is 100% correct.
    That way you are very sure you got a valid copy. But it should work just fine without doing this.

    Hi all, I've tried to flash the box by following this instruction but it ignores everything and boots to UI. USB Flash drive is definitely FAT32 formated and inserted into USB2 port(tried both ports), file name is correct, install.img is the only file on the disk.

    Where have you downloaded IMG file?
    Which is the original filename (before the rename)?

    When and where can we have the .img version? Need to flash the box when necessary. I don't think it difficult to build.

    I've downloaded the archive v1.2.3_img.zip from the first post and extracted the install.img file
