Hitachi- LG Data Storage HLDS presents the world first DVD which is compatible with Android OS to fascinate customers Any good for the Zidoo Owners ? Users can download free applications from the Playstore. It offers two applications – DiskLink and TrueDVD to operate on an Android device. DiskLink application is for music playback and data backup. It also supports Gracenote, which functions to display contents information such as the title of song, album, and artist's name. It also helps to burn the disc with the data in a smartphone or tablet directly without moving them to PC. TrueDVD application is for playback movie DVDs or concert DVDs. Users can play DVDs for kids without extra ripping by connecting 'Portable DVD for Android' to their tablet. It includes free USB cables- both Type-A and Type-C to cope with whatever USB type users have.
Any USB DVD/BD/UHD Player will work with Zidoo. Even SATA drives are supported. No need for this one.
Is there anyone using DVD anymore? I sold all my DVD collection 13 years ago. When you say player, do you mean something like a BD-ROM drive?
It plays only ripped DVD/BD/UHD but Zidoo player is not Cinavia aware and these will just play too. USB external players and SATA BD-ROM both are supported. Tried a BD Burner temporary removed from my PC myself for testing. Original Audio CD playing also works.
Thats new to me not that ive tested ....... Always thought Cinavia just eventually blocked everything Or only if it detects a blu ray drive in the system ? So can connect a 4K blu ray drive and playback no problem of any Movies ( Cinivia / or protection on the Zidoo . can we shout about this feature ?
There is no difference between playing any ripped ISO from HDD or NAS or that same ISO burned to a Disc and next played from a drive being SATA or USB attached. No secrets about that. Using Menu's will work but is extremely slow.
