For DV, HDR10 and LG C9 go for M9072, such a good natural picture.

Hi, the problem is only affecting TrueHd, maybe I should have called the thread Dolby Vision TrueHD bug MKV bug.

New firmware made no difference to MKV DV remuxes stuttering after about 5 mins on my CX. Turned off HDCP and didn't help.

I tried LCPM audio and HDCP off, no difference if source audio is THD.

v6.0.66 is only a minor update to v6.0.60 and I only got a test file to them just before .60 was released so I wouldn't have expected a fix in this firmware.

I have a DV MKV rip of Total Recall. This is not my rip. It plays great in DV on my Nvidia Shield (2019) but in HDR10 on the Zidoo. Media info below.

The shield also play my own DV remuxes in DV with no major issues. Only thing is the TV's Dolby Vision label pops up constantly. However none of the stutter I'm seeing on the Z9X.

It's a shame MediaInfo only does half a job!

Is that FEL or MEL? (open in MakeMKV to check)

  16. DaMacFunkin

    DaMacFunkin Active Member

    The original is FEL.
FEL titles passed through makemkv don’t automatically become profile 7 compliant MEL, the Shield is playing anything Profile 7, as others have said you need to convert these to MEL profile 8.1 to play on Zidoo.
I have converted this to MEL 8.1 and watched in full on the Shield.
On my calibrated LG C9 it is the best example of red push I have seen, it is absolutely awful.
On Z9X it is slightly less red but still has colour push, I think the Z9X has better picture than the shield but obviously we have the TrueHD bug.
I think Zidoo will nail this I’m hopeing anyway.

played fine on my Panasonic z1000
but it would cos atmos track removed :p

didnt appear to be pushing any specific colours to me ...ie towards end batmans head is a bit redish but thats from the huge red neon sign on building across from him

zidoo can play dvhe7 ok ie Alita as long as 5.1 audio tracks used
got beverly hills cop in DV with dvhe 7 to try shortly since it only has 5.1 no atmos done for it sadly
