No, the latest version is 6.0.45 (Of cours, too Beta)
I don't know where to download it, it is not listed on the official Zidoo download website https://www.zidoo.tv/Support/downloads.html.
All firmware are distributed through private individuals. Shame on Zidoo ...

    Why shame on Zidoo ??
If its a private Beta to be tested by certain indivduals before they even think about releasing that is if its any good .

once tested then release it in beta format .

Hi all, new to the forums here.

Got my Z9X this week and want to do an emergency flash.
Can anybody confirm that the following hash-check numbers of the emergency image file (without Google) are correct?

    MD5: 33841e9ab7a5687852381b097c9b9f37
    or
    SHA-256: c81d1429b4b890020d605a47da73c21dcc917a72b3b25e1fd8d5daafc72a9333

Secondly, are any issues reported here, monitored and automatically dealt with by Zidoo techies?
Or should there be an e-mail going to service@zidoo.tv?

    Cheers

    Your file is correct
    33841e9ab7a5687852381b097c9b9f37 *Z9X_P_v6.0.22_202008111916_usb-install.img

rename the file to install.img and put it in the root of a FAT32 formated USB stick and follow the guide -> https://www.zidoo.tv/Support/support_guide/guide_target/x0Yfq[ld]QEAzbeq7k9e[ld]3ulg==.html

My Z9X is working as it should with the current non G beta firmware. The picture is stunning and the Audio passthrough for movie soundtracks are so far correct and awesome, including Atmos.
My previous resolution problems, tracked down to my Samsung TV and seem to have been resolved by a couple of tweaks in the service menu.
Thanks to all that offered suggestions to help me out, much appreciated.
Watched Metallica S&M 2 Last night at around 90db and it was as if I was in the audience:D:)
    Cheers.

No official release (Are there any?) for Z9X on the official site, player not listed https://www.zidoo.tv/Support/downloads.html
I bought the device 1.5 months ago with Beta FW, and since then there have only beta firmwares and still a lot of bugs.
I still have Zidoo x8, there have been 15 official releases and only 2 betas in 4 years.
The Zidoo Z9x has zero official releases and already 6 or 8 betas.
    Is that normal?

Absolutely normal with these devices - they are constantly being updated and improved so you could argue that they never really get out of beta, but given the development that this precipitates, it's a good thing!

It's still very early days for this device and there's a lot going on behind the scenes at the moment.

Concerning several 3D ISO issues that some people, including myself, are experiencing, I maybe found something.

First off, I initially thought the playback issues were only with 3D ISO files that had a Dolby Atmos or DTS:X track onboard. Later I noticed that the error "Can't play video" also popped up with other 3D ISOs that didn't carry Atmos or DTS:X.

I don't know how far Zidoo has dealt with it, but for the hell of it I remuxed the 3D ISO of "Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice" which carries Atmos audio, into a movie only 3D ISO. And voilà, the Z9X plays it back without issues.
So, maybe more people want to try out remuxing problematic 3D ISOs and see for themselves? Maybe it's a heads-up for the people who are dealing with the issue?

Anyways, whether this is solved in new firmware on short notice or not, I hope some of you may confirm this to work on other 3D ISOs as well, for now.

I used tsMuxer (nightly build dd. 2020-09-23) 64 bit. Be sure to check off the "Continually insert SPS/PPS"-box for both the MVC- and H.264 stream.

Secondly, something that bugs me a bit about the player's - default - "Aspect Ratio" settings, which is "Fit", apparently. This works wel for square pixel videos like 3840x2160, 1920x1080 and 1280x720. Even when these are cropped to eg. 1920x800 (an often used resolution for cropped and transcoded full-hd video where the black bars are removed).

When playing SD video the player doesn't honour the display aspect ratio. At least, of a well-authored mkv file. The correct aspect ratio (4:3 or 16:9) has to be manually set during playback in the aspect ratio menu. Once set, it seems to remember this setting for the file though.

As (some of) you know, both PAL (720 x 576) and NTSC (720 x 480) are "anamorphic". They have no square pixels (this is for both 4:3 and 16:9, BTW).
The display aspect ratio (or, as in the headers of a mkv file, "video display width" and "- height") has to be defined during authoring.

I would love to see that a default setting for "Aspect Ratio" would be called something like "Automatic" and would take into account the video's Display Aspect Ratio properties AND the connected TV's aspect ratio, which are by definition not the same. So that one wouldn't have to manually set the right picture (of a well authored file, of course).

TBH best if you don't. There are beta builds that are only meant for a small number of testers and those should not get out as may contain something nasty! Lets be patient and wait for an official beta which should be very soon.

Not honouring DAR for anamorphic files has been on my bug list for a while, but so far no changes...

Very true. That has happened a couple of times...

Actually, to be completely fair - annoyances more than something nasty, and .45 is no exception!

So is .45 not really for public consumption?

Couldn't resist! Someone posts a new beta - even unofficial - and I just have to try it:D

The two DV files I made using MakeMKV now appear to play fine on my LG CX. Still not fixed the annoying bug where 1080p full BD play in the UI resolution.

No, it's perfectly fine - just a very very minor visual glitch - operationally there're no nasties.

Unfortunately no, the resolution issue for BDMV isn't fixed yet, but the list of fixes so far is extremely impressive.

So the LG CX doesn’t suffer from the black resync screens that the C8/C9 does with DV output at 23.976?
How long did you watch a DV movie for?

I had issues with my CX before this new firmware. I would hit issues very quickly. Either green screen straight away or the playback would start to stutter and\or freeze. Tested the two remuxes I have made - Casino Royal and Matrix Reloaded. Now with this firmware both started without issue. I watched CR for several minutes and no issues. The Matrix Reloaded is playing happily as I type. Not had time yet for a longer check. But seems fixed

Also not fixed the issue where when you change HDR mode it resets HDMI mode back to Auto.
